Bombshelter is the best! We've been to many different studios and bombshelter has been outstanding since day 1! Our recording process went very smoothly and we have some tracks we are all VERY proud of. We were all pleasantly stunned how crisp and precise we sounded. Can't wait for our next recording session! Huge thanks to Paul and James to knocking our CD out of the park!

Our band recorded has been rehearsing at Bomb Shelter for about 1.5 years and we finally decided to get off our asses and record. Since we have a great relationship with the guys working there it was a no brainer. Paul and James were awesome to work with. They had pretty much had everything pre-setup when we got there which helped save lots of time for recording. It saved enough time where we actually got to record a song we had not originally planned to.
So if you're planning to record stop reading this and give these guys a call..... You won't be sorry.

Primitive Painters recorded our latest CD , Say It 'Til You Mean It, at Bomb Shelter Recording with James. To say it came out as our best recording yet would be an understatement. We've never had a recording with such depth and clarity. Even when we changed guitar parts, added keys, violins, mandolin and more vocals, nothing got lost in the mix. We tracked some 5-6 lead vocal tracks for each song and James went one by one, phrase by phrase, and constructed THE lead vocal from all the best parts. Our vocals never sounded this great! He truely knows his craft. We have great reviews of our CD on ITunes. The service was professional and James is a skilled musician as well as an engineer which made the creative environment at this studio very cool.

My band recorded here just recently and were pleasantly surprised. We are an instrumental band and had decided that we wanted to take a more organic approach to our music by recording every one together. We had gone instrument by instrument before and had felt it did not capture our sound. The reason why is we have a lot of time signature and temp changes in any given song. This makes a nightmare to tempo map and even when mapped out the changes never felt natural. We explained this to Paul and James (James owns the studio and Paul was engineering our session) and they were excited and into the idea. So recording day comes and we set all our gear up. Both engineers took time with mic choice and placement and spent time getting things right (Excellent vibe from the guys running the board)! All around good equipment (Good analog console, outboard mic pres, good mic selection, and great people to work with. Oh! The most important thing! Everything off the board sounded great! So do yourself a favor and get your shizznit recorded here. If your thinking of doing it at home DON'T! If your thinking of going to another studio because your going to get your song mixed by the guy who was the vocal coach for Clay Akin and did blow with Whitney Houston and knows Rick Rubens little sister....Really!! Give Bomb Shelter a serious thought before throwing your money away!Cheers,
